Account Information

  • Name and email address (provided during registration)
  • Authentication data (managed through Google OAuth or email magic links)
  • Role and school affiliations within the platform

Usage Data

  • Conversations with the AI assistant
  • Training module progress and assessment results
  • Platform interaction patterns and preferences

School Documents

  • Financial records, policies, and other documents you upload
  • Meeting minutes, agendas, and board materials

How We Use Your Information

  • Providing the Platform: To deliver AI-assisted governance guidance, training modules, and financial health analysis
  • AI Responses: To generate relevant, context-aware responses based on NC charter school regulations and your school's uploaded documents
  • Training Progress: To track your board training completion and generate compliance reports
  • Platform Improvement: To enhance our AI models and user experience (using aggregated, anonymized data only)

Data Isolation

  • School-specific documents are strictly isolated per organization
  • Your school's uploaded documents are never shared with or accessible to other organizations
  • AI responses for your school draw from your school's documents and publicly available regulatory data only

Student Data

Charter Vision does not collect, store, or process personally identifiable student information (PII). Our platform is designed for board governance, not student data management.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth: For authentication (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
  • Anthropic (Claude): For AI-powered analysis (data is not used for model training)
  • OpenAI: For document embeddings (data is not used for model training)
  • Supabase: For database hosting
  • Vercel: For application hosting
  • Resend: For transactional emails

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Account data is retained while your account is active
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time
  • School documents can be deleted by school administrators
  • Conversation history can be deleted by individual users
